The Mountain View Restaurant
 The Restaurant can now seat 100 people. The Air-conditioned Bar/Restaurant can seat a
further 85 and we now have a patio which can seat another 24. We also have a small Pool Table, which we can move when it gets very busy so that customers can use both the
Restaurant and Bar to eat and drink
We completely revamped the Menus to remove all traces of previous owners. We have the best Chicken, Rice and Beans in Belize and this doesn’t come from us, - it comes from our
customers! We now have what we call a Traditional or Fast  Food Menu, which offers
much improved versions of all the local dishes and we now also offer an A la Carte Menu, with items such as English Fish and Chips, Scampi, a Special Mixed Grill and even a Chateau Briand for
two. In spite of the “posh” decor, our prices are still amongst the lowest in Belize. Compare our Menu and prices with other places and we think when
you taste the quality of the food you will be pleasantly surprised. Prices and availability obviously fluctuate, this is a small country and we can’t always get
as much as we would like, or even what we would like!.
 The first thing folks do when they arrive here is to
reach for the cameras. Our Mountain View Restaurant not only boasts the finest view in the whole of Belize, the new wall has three massive
murals, done by a local artist, Juan Esquivel, which depict life in Belize, ranging from deep jungle
through to the sandy beaches and marine life. Photographs don’t even start to do it justice to the view as it changes every day with the changes of the weather and the time of the year! Fortunately the
murals remain a constant in an ever changing world
The 4 acres of developed grounds are ideal for the family to play in. We are planning a proper kiddies
play area when the next dry season starts, which will include a paddling pool, swings and slides where the youngest people can play in. Many of our visitors find it ideal to play  ball. We also have a Handball Court. In addition to the 4
acres we still have another 6 acres which we have just started to clear. This currently houses our two “Ponds” as we have our own water filtration and
purification system. Here in this part of the Rain Forest there is a serious water shortage and with 300 feet plus of white clay under us, so far we haven’t been able to get a borehole
We have reasonably good Internet Access in the Office - 128K down and 64K up so that guests and local people can send e-mails to their families on our
Internet connection, whilst they are enjoying a drink or waiting for their food. Whether you just want to send a message home to your loved ones or whether
you want to “Surf the Web” looking for new places to see and new things to do, JB’s offers both and speeds which are quite acceptable for a tiny country like Belize.
